2021.09.20 22:50 chiminichanga How to fix color after sun bum??
Hi gals and guys. I used sun bum lightening spray to make my hair more blonde this summer (like 2 months ago). surprise surprise, it’s brassy asf and not beachy in the slightest. I read somewhere that further bleaching your hair is very harmful after using products with peroxide because of something about heavy metals and how they react. I would like to have some highlights professionally done and also have my hair toned so that it’s not so brassy.
My hair doesn’t even feel that damaged, so i’m wondering if it would be safe to get some nice highlights in my hair at a salon even though i used that sun bum stuff this summer?
Have a lovely day and thanks for reading this

⌘+L worked in every version of Safari until 15. Don't know if this is a bug with 15 & macOS 11 and it's fixed in the Monterey beta or not... Anybody figure out a keyboard shortcut to focus the Smart Search field? 🤔

2021.09.20 22:50 Mackerelmint Whee, I did the thing and moved my shares. Got plenty of interference run on me, though.
So, like the title suggests, I moved my GME shares to Computershare. It wasn't the smoothest, though. That was my own fault at first, not realizing that I didn't actually need a Computershare account for my shares to hit before I initiated the transfer. For anyone who hasn't done this yet and doesn't know, it seems you have to have your shares in the care of computershare in the first place if you want to open the account with them. Not knowing that at first, it seemed like a catch-22 and I was frustrated for a minute.
As for Fidelity, where I was moving my shares away from, I definitely noticed pushback. Some have had luck with the chatbots, but that wasn't my experience. They seem to have been rejiggered to run interference. Also, the website had announcements that call times were very long, but I got through to a person very quickly both times I called. Don't be put off.
I also got interference from the first guy I talked to, who tried "confirming" over and over again every action OTHER than transferring my shares to Computershare, particularly selling my shares off. Dick. He eventually told me that I had to go through Computershare first, so I called back to hopefully get someone who wasn't a knob. And fortunately, I did get someone who wasn't a knob, and she seemed quite pleased to do her part in all of this.
For call center money, it takes a real turd of a person to run interference for rich assholes that are ripping everyone off left and right.
The bot isn't great about call routing, it turns out. So when you call Fidelity, ask the bot for the trade team, just to save a few minutes going through the wrong department and having to get transferred and start over again. Hopefully this helps someone set their expectations when dealing with Fidelity to move their shit, and maybe save them a few minutes.

2021.09.20 22:50 amp4972 Help with fall overseeding project
I am located in North Carolina, right on the line of zones 7b and 8a. This weekend I am planning an overseeding project in which I plan to aerate, top dress, level some areas, throw down tall fescue seed, and set up above ground irrigation.
I did some math in a spreadsheet to get a reasonable estimate of the area I need to seed. Total property is .28 acres. After taking out the house, driveway, flower beds, and tree beds, the leftover area is about 7,300 sq ft.
The soil in the front yard is mostly hard clay, and in some spots where the sun beats down it is nearly bare, so I plan on making a few passes with the aerator.
One of the last kinks in my plan is to figure out what to do about top soil and compost.
I have a few areas that I know I will need to fill in and level shown below.
From digging up mulch and roots left after a stump grinding (still in progress): https://i.imgur.com/Cyw4hVN.jpg
From digging up large landscaping stones that I found buried while mowing one day: https://i.imgur.com/5iuLxt2.jpg
From digging old dead roots: https://i.imgur.com/6M6z9Ti.jpg
From digging up gravel, bricks, and concrete from some kind of structure or driveway that was torn up (check out the rocks I pulled out and the screen that I made): https://i.imgur.com/f5j4hil.jpg
I know from reading other posts that it’s not good to level with compost and that it would be best to fill the spots listed above with some kind of soil or soil/compost mix. I need help deciding what to do with the rest of the yard. And also how much I should order. I read rule of thumb is a cubic yard per 1000 sq ft, which would indicate at least 7 cubic yards.
I was on the phone with a landscaping company earlier and almost pulled the trigger on 8 cubic yards of a 50/50 top soil and compost mix, but the pricing was a bit higher than expected at $480, which included delivery. Seeing the price tag made me want to reassess and get this right.
I also read about people getting bad top soil with tons of rocks and I’m scared of that nightmare.
So my question is what should I do? Do I focus mostly on topsoil? Mostly On compost? Do I even need to top dress the whole yard? Should I buy just a small amount of top soil to fill the spots above and then top dress the bad clay spots with compost?
My original plan was to lay down a 1/4 inch of soil and compost over most of the yard after aerating, spread the seed, work it into the soil with a rake, and make a light pass with a large roller to ensure that the seed makes contact with the soil. Is that excessive? 8 cubic yards sounds like a lot and I’m sure it’s backbreaking work, so would hate to order too much here. I have no plans to lay down peat moss or straw after seeding, but can reconsider if advised to do so.
Also I have a question regarding granular humic and sea kelp. I have a 40 lb bag of Anderson’s humic and a 25 lb bag of sea kelp waiting to be thrown down. Where can I incorporate these during this process? Can I throw them down after aerating? After seeding? Is it best to wait some time?
I have been clearing the property of rocks and debris for months in preparation for this, and over the past month have been spraying tenacity to kill all of the weeds (mostly crabgrass, plantain, clover, but also a bit of bentgrass).
I moved into this house in April, and this is my first big lawn renovation project. Would really like this to be a success, so any advice you can lend will be helpful!
